Research Profile Roman Trepp, MD

Research focus

The research group led by Dr Roman Trepp investigates neuroendocrine tumors, thyroid diseases and the neuropsychological aspects of endocrine and metabolic diseases with multimodal, interdisciplinary collaborations. Among other areas, the research group for neuroendocrinology combines classical neuropsychological examinations with state-of-the-art imaging methods such as functional MRIs and magnetic resonance spectroscopy of the brain. This is used to investigate the effects of endocrine and metabolic diseases on cognition and their underlying mechanisms.
